Lineage

Contester reflects the qualities of his legendary bloodlines, natural balance, elastic gaits, commanding presence and outstanding character. Holsteiner royalty is represented in his lineage. His sire, Contender is a legend in Europe as well as in the United States .  He is most likely the most influential living stallion today. Contender's sire, Calypso II, is himself an International Show jumper.

Contester's Grandsire, Cor de la Bryère, a sire of great sires, produces both top show jumping horses as well as highly successful dressage prodigy. Contester also traces to the desirable lines of Landgraf and Ladykiller.
